What was once a forestry camp for logging now lies one of Fraser Island’s most beautiful natural areas. Strap on your hiking boots and follow the walking tracks through the rainforest area to see the wide range of flora and fauna it houses. The trails are quite easy and suited to first time bush walkers or people with low fitness levels. Along the walks are various viewing areas with great views that are ideal rest areas and picnic spots.
The short boardwalk will take you through the lush world heritage listed rainforest and around the clear waters of Wanggoolba Creek. You could spend hours just relaxing in the rainforest and listening to the soft sounds it makes. If you’re visiting Fraser Island a trip to Central Station is a must!
